The Many Adventures of Axel Sloan is a one-handed piano solo for right hand, while only twenty five measures in length, excluding repeats or the DS, offers many challenges to the performer. The D minor composition, which conforms for the most part to a five finger hand position, will require finger control due to unusual finger combinations, two and three voice part writing, subtle use of dynamics and articulations. Independence of finger control is a must throughout the five short sections.
